Thank You

There are so many people to thank…

We are grateful to each and every one of you, activists, rally participants, speakers, entertainers, volunteers and donors. We also really appreciate that so many of you stood out in the rain to rally for a cause that is so vital to the future and to our rights. Thank you!

Please bear with us, we will be updating this website soon. We hope to have photos and videos of the rally to share.

Stay up to date  by visiting We Are Woman’s WEBSITE, BLOG or FACEBOOK page and visit ERA Action on FACEBOOK.

Reasons to Rally:

Equality

Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex.

ERA Ratification

Constitutionally protected gender equality will influence legal decisions in cases of discrimination, violence, economic and reproductive justice.

Voting Rights

Our vote is our voice. We must be able to exercise our constitutional right to vote without restrictions that limit access.

Here Are Some of the Speakers You'll Hear at the Rally:

The reality is, if enough voters actually turn out for this November's elections, we could elect candidates who support our issues and turn our country around.

It's disgraceful that citizens of the United States are not protected from sex discrimination under national law. Ratifying the ERA will outlaw sex discrimination and guarantee Constitutional Pay Equity. It's long past time to ratify the ERA.

It's time for the young women of today to speak out to protect the rights the women who came before us fought for, and to ensure equality for the women of tomorrow.

One day, women will see the Equal Rights Amendment pass and it will be a beautiful day. Feminism is, and should be, a celebration of the female spirit and the unique strength that women possess.

Suffragist Dr. Alice Paul called the 20th century movement to win women the right to vote as the 'Great Demand-- Deeds Not Words.' We proclaim the 21st century 'Great Demand' is the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment.

For too long women have not been treated equally in the workplace. I am excited to see Minnesota become a leader on issues like the gender pay gap and workplace protections for pregnant women and nursing mothers by passing the Women’s Economic Security Act, which I authored, in 2014.

With Hobby Lobby and the doctrine of corporate constitutional rights, the federal courts have given the men who own and manage the world’s largest corporations a free hand to deny women their basic rights.
